This notice explains how Markitect Ltd collects and uses your personal data in compliance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the Data Protection Act 2018, the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), and other relevant UK laws as amended over time ("Data Protection Legislation"). Please read it carefully.

Markitect Ltd provides AI leadership education for individual leaders, including a free masterclass, the AI Leadership Assessment, one-to-one AI Diagnostic calls, and paid programmes such as the AI Leadership Accelerator.

We are the "data controller", responsible for deciding how your personal data is held and used.

The data we collect

We collect personal data when you register for our masterclass, complete the AI Leadership Assessment, book or attend an AI Diagnostic call, purchase a programme, contact us, or interact with us on social media. We may also obtain limited information from publicly available sources such as LinkedIn or Companies House to prepare for a call.

Depending on how you engage with us, we may hold:

  • Identity and contact details: name, email address, phone number, current role, and company name where you provide it.
  • Assessment data: your answers to the AI Leadership Assessment, your overall AI Leadership Score, your score in each of the five capability areas, and any optional free-text priority you share. Your AI Leadership Score is calculated automatically from your answers using a fixed scoring method; no other automated decisions are made about you.
  • Call data: booking details, notes taken during your AI Diagnostic call, and, where recorded, an audio recording and written transcript of the call.
  • Purchase data: the programme purchased, amount paid, and payment status. We do not store your full card details; payments are processed by Stripe.
  • Marketing and engagement data: your consent choices, email opens and clicks, and how you interact with our content.
  • Technical data: cookies and similar identifiers, and campaign attribution such as the advert or link that brought you to us.

How we use your data, and our lawful basis

  • To deliver what you asked for (send the masterclass, generate your score, run your call, provide a purchased programme): the lawful basis is contract, or steps taken at your request before a contract.
  • To send you marketing emails about our masterclass, your results and related resources: the lawful basis is consent, which you give by ticking the box at registration and can withdraw at any time.
  • To improve our services, prepare for calls, and keep basic business records: the lawful basis is legitimate interests, balanced against your rights.
  • To meet legal and tax obligations: the lawful basis is legal obligation.

We record AI Diagnostic calls only where you have been told in advance and have consented, both when booking and verbally at the start of the call. You can ask us to stop recording at any time.

Separately, and only with your explicit consent, we may use call transcripts to improve our services and to develop AI assistants that support our sales and delivery. You can withdraw this consent at any time, and withdrawing it does not affect your call or any programme.

Who we share your data with

We use trusted third-party providers ("processors") to run our services. Each is bound to process your data only on our instructions and to keep it secure. Our main processors are:

  • Supabase (database and hosting for our CRM and funnel data).
  • Lovable (hosting for our funnel and website pages).
  • Brevo (email delivery and marketing).
  • n8n (workflow automation connecting our systems).
  • Cal.com and Google (calendar booking, and Workspace and Meet for calls).
  • Granola (AI note-taking and transcription for Diagnostic calls, where recording is used).
  • Anthropic (AI-assisted analysis of business records and, where you have consented, call notes and transcripts).
  • Stripe (payment processing for paid programmes).
  • Eventbrite (registration for live events, where you register through it).
  • Meta and Google (advertising and analytics, where you have accepted the relevant cookies).

We may also share data where required by law, to a regulator, or in connection with a business sale or restructuring. We do not sell your personal data.

International transfers

Your data is primarily processed in the UK and the European Economic Area. Where a provider processes data outside the UK or EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as UK adequacy regulations or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum.

How long we keep your data

We keep personal data only as long as necessary:

  • Marketing contacts and assessment data: until you unsubscribe or object, and in any case reviewed after 24 months of inactivity.
  • Call recordings and transcripts: up to 12 months, or for as long as you maintain consent for their use in developing our services, whichever is longer, unless linked to a purchase.
  • Customer and purchase records: 6 years, to meet tax and legal requirements.
  • Cookie and analytics data: per the retention set out in our cookie settings.

Cookies

Our site uses essential cookies to function and, with your consent, analytics and advertising cookies (including the Meta and Google pixels) to measure and improve our campaigns. You choose your preferences in the cookie banner and can change them at any time. Essential cookies do not require consent; all others are set only if you accept them.

Your rights

Under the Data Protection Legislation you have the right to access your data, correct it, request its erasure, object to or restrict processing, withdraw consent at any time, object to direct marketing, and request portability. To exercise any right, email hello@markitect.co. We may ask you to confirm your identity.

You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire SK9 5AF, telephone 0303 123 1113, https://ico.org.uk/concerns. We would appreciate the chance to resolve your concern first.

Changes to this notice

We may update this notice from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top shows the latest version. Where changes are significant we will tell you.
